CAMPAIGN
The mission of the Potomac CFC is to promote and support philanthropy through a program that is employee focused, cost-efficient, and effective in providing all Federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all.
The Combined Federal Campaign is the world's largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaign. There are over 200 CFC campaigns internationally and across the country which help to raise millions of dollars each year. Pledges made by Federal civilian, postal and military donors during the campaign season (September 1st to December 15th) help to support eligible non-profit organizations that provide health and human service benefits throughout the world.
The 2009 campaign ended with $1,157,586 in donations thanks to the support of 3,972 donors in the Potomac Region. These results earned the campaign an award from the Office of Personnel Management for the third highest increase in campaign dollars for a campaign larger than 1 million dollars. Potomac CFC volunteers have certainly "helped to change the world".Press Release MCBQ on OPM Award
