KEY WORKERS
Key workers are important because they are the CFC lifeline between people who need help and those who have the power to give. Key workers can make a real difference in people's lives by explaining how the CFC works and by asking their fellow Federal employees to participate in the campaign. Their role is vital to the success of the campaign.
The Key worker:
1. Attends key worker training sessions.
2. Is responsible for personally contacting coworkers to ensure they have had an opportunity to participate in the campaign. He or she explains the CFC, answers questions and asks for pledges.
3. Helps their assigned co-workers in filling out their Pledge Cards with their last name, organization, CFC Reporting Number, work address, telephone number, and payroll office location(optional).
4. Collects Pledge Cards from co-workers and checks them for accuracy and completeness. Checks that donors used 5-digit charity codes when making designations.
5. Prepares Pledge Card Carrier by filling out the form on the front of the carrier (the Keyworker Summary) and placing the Pledge Card copies in the appropriate pockets.
6. Thanks employees who donated to the CFC.
7. Considers making a pledge to CFC in order to proudly say "I gave too!"
